Nara Lokesh's response to Jagan '2.0'.

Responding to the upcoming phase of governance by YSR Congress Party leader and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, often referred to as Jagan '2.0', TDP General Secretary and Minister Nara Lokesh stated that the people of Andhra Pradesh have not yet recovered from Jagan's first phase of governance and are not ready for another phase. Lokesh remarked, “Jagan talks about his 2.0 version, but the people are still suffering from his 1.0. He is notorious for limiting the freedoms of the people. He can say anything about what he will do if he comes back to power, but there is no need to worry because he will not implement them.”

Referring to Jagan's criticism of state expenditures during his visit to Davos, Lokesh responded, "Jagan is questioning our expenses, but I am ready to compare the investments brought by him over five years with what we have achieved in just eight months."

Lokesh also criticized the state’s educational system under Jagan's rule, stating that the number of students in government schools has significantly reduced from 45 lakh to 32 lakh, and that Jagan has ruined the state’s education system. "Introducing English medium doesn’t change the reality. Despite announcing the CBSE syllabus, the exam system was ignored, and students were not adequately prepared. As a result, 90% of students fail in at least one subject. That’s why we have decided to implement reforms before transitioning students into this system and to provide them with proper training," he explained.

Further, Lokesh accused the previous administration of politicizing universities by appointing only individuals from the same political faction as vice-chancellors, which led to a significant decline in the NIRF rankings. For more updates on Andhra Pradesh politics, visit Vaartha Andhra Pradesh.
